Iasa IT Architecture Competition — 2016-2017: Highlights
The second Iasa IT Architecture Competition (2016-2017) was conducted from November 2016 through February 2017. We had 24 teams registered from 4 states representing 7 University campuses. Each team had a industry practitioner as a mentor, and we had 24 mentors from 16 different organizations.
The participants had to deliver the solution architecture to build a website and mobile application for a non-profit organization. The best team took home a prize of $10,000 a lion’s share of the total prize kitty of $14,500.
Working over a period of 15 weeks the teams delivered the solution in three stages.
The key deliverables included Business Requirement Document, Conceptual Architecture, Information Architecture, Software Architecture, Security Architecture, User Experience Architecture, Deployment Architecture and Technology Stack. These deliverables were evaluated by a panel of three judges all senior professionals from industry.
The final evaluation included a presentation by each team at an open event in front of the panel of judges.
